The Night Before, Done Right

A Rehearsal Dinner Venue in Reading, PA

Welcome both families with a private dinner in a historic 1877 mansion — a setting that beats any restaurant back room, with full table service, a BYOB bar, and overnight suites upstairs.

More Than a Restaurant Reservation

A Private Mansion for Your Wedding Party

Your rehearsal dinner sets the tone for the whole wedding weekend. Instead of squeezing both families into a noisy restaurant, host them in the parlors of the Wilhelm Mansion in Reading’s Centre Park Historic District — a private, seated dinner with our tables, linens, china, and staff taking care of everything, and no other party in the building.

Getting married at the inn? Pair your rehearsal dinner with the wedding for one seamless weekend. Marrying elsewhere in Berks County? The inn makes a memorable night-before home base, with three suites for out-of-town family.

Rehearsal Dinner Questions

How many guests can a rehearsal dinner include?

The mansion comfortably hosts seated dinners for up to about 70 guests, which covers nearly every wedding party plus both families. Tell us your headcount and we will plan the layout.

Do you handle the food?

Yes — dinners at the inn are catered in-house with full table service. We will plan the menu with you in advance, and our monthly Dinner at The Inn series is a great way to taste the kitchen's work first.

Can we bring our own drinks?

Yes. The inn is BYOB with a mandatory bar setup and service fee of $10 per person, which includes a bartender, mixers, soft drinks, ice, glassware, and full setup, plus 6% PA sales tax and a 20% service charge.

We are not getting married at the inn. Can we still book a rehearsal dinner?

Absolutely. Many couples marry elsewhere in Berks County and host the rehearsal dinner here for the privacy and the setting.

Can family stay overnight?

Yes — the inn has three historic overnight suites. Out-of-town family can stay right upstairs and enjoy breakfast in the morning.
